Edition 4, in partnership with
Welcome to a watery edition of Inside Chiswick. We're kicking off with Riverside Runners, one of Chiswick’s fastest-growing community groups, bringing 80 to 90 people together every Monday evening for a free, friendly social run by the river. It is not about chasing personal bests or setting the fastest pace. The idea is much simpler: if you can chat, you are running at the right speed. With no membership, no fees and no sign-up required, it has become a genuinely welcoming way for locals to get moving, meet people and feel part of something.

Welcome to Inside Chiswick, your weekly upbeat guide to the people, businesses and stories that give the area its character. There's a watery thread running through this week's edition without us really planning it. The Riverside Runners are pounding the towpath every Monday, Sevenus Swimming is teaching Chiswick's youngest to feel at home in the pool, and we're tipping our hat to the brilliant volunteers at Chiswick RNLI who help keep the Thames safe. Add in our new events calendar going live on the website, and there's plenty to dive into. Glad to have you with us.

Each week, we’ll be spotlighting a local food and drink business that adds something special to Chiswick. If you’d like to be featured, or know a local favourite we should include, please get in touch.
There's something special happening at 130 Chiswick High Road. Bronzo is the kind of place where you can taste the love in every dish, from the fresh pasta Fabio makes by hand each morning to the Sardinian classics that feel like they've been passed down through generations. Sara and Fabio run it as a true family affair, and it shows in the warmth of the welcome, the care on every plate, and the way regulars are greeted like old friends.

Try the wild boar pappardelle, the Pane Frattau, or the Bucatini Alla Zanky that everyone's talking about, and you'll understand why 348 reviewers have left them an average of 4.8 stars. A proper taste of Sardinia, right on our high road. Book your table here.

Each week, we’ll spotlight a local social media account that captures something interesting, useful or distinctive about Chiswick. If you know an account we should feature, or run one yourself, we’d love to hear from you.
@chiswickrnli is well worth a follow for a closer look at the volunteers helping keep the Thames safe. Chiswick Lifeboat is part of the RNLI, a charity funded entirely by public donations rather than the government, which means every rescue and every life saved is made possible by people like us. Give them a follow, share their posts, and if you can, chip in.

We also want to make space for the positive things happening across the area. This section is our way of highlighting the community moments, local successes and uplifting stories that help make Chiswick such a good place to live.
Giffords Circus brings new show to Chiswick
Giffords Circus is bringing its new show, Waterfield, to Chiswick House and Gardens from 21 May to 7 June, with a storybook-style production inspired by the wildlife and traditions of rural England. Expect live music, comedy, acrobatics, equestrian moments and all the old-school magic that has made Giffords such a special name. A proper summer treat for Chiswick. Source: Time & Leisure
Potli raises £1,000 for Hogarth Centre
Potli in Hammersmith has raised £1,000 for the Hogarth Youth & Community Centre, with owner Uttam Tripathy hosting a charity set-menu evening and donating the profits to support the centre’s summer activities programme. The money will help Hogarth take young people away over the school holidays, giving them a proper break and offering some respite for parents and carers. A generous local gesture, and a lovely reminder of how much good can happen when independent businesses get behind community organisations. Source: Chiswick Calendar

We’re passionate about highlighting the local businesses that help give Chiswick its character. If you’d like to be featured, or know a business we should have on our radar, please get in touch.
Two genuine local finds this week. One brings a personal touch to gifting through custom LEGO creations, the other helps Chiswick's youngest swimmers grow up loving the water. Both are exactly the kind of independent businesses we set Inside Chiswick up to celebrate.
If you've got little ones who need to learn to swim, Sevenus Swimming under the arches at Stamford Brook is the one. All three of my kids learnt to swim there, so this comes with a personal stamp of approval. Laura's philosophy is gentle and child-led: kids are guided rather than drilled, following their own instincts to move, float, and explore. The result is confident little swimmers who genuinely love the water.
Inside Chiswick readers: 75% off the joining fee through May and June (Mon to Thu, 9am to 3pm), plus a free family swim session (Tue to Thu, 12.30pm to 1.15pm).

Some of the loveliest local businesses are the ones you didn't know existed until you saw them, and BrickLabCreations is exactly that. Szasza builds custom LEGO-style minifigure frames and miniature scenes that turn people, memories, and everyday moments into tiny works of art. She also creates bespoke replicas of buildings, which means a local shop, restaurant, or even your own home can be quietly immortalised in brick form. Think birthdays, anniversaries, leaving gifts, or a charming tribute to your business.
Inside Chiswick readers: introductory offer for the next two weeks. £17.99 for a 6x4 frame, £19.99 for a 5x7, in black or white.
