As the local OMODA | JAECOO retailer, the team will have their latest models on site across the week, with the full range of petrol, hybrid and fully electric cars to see up close.
Book a test drive during the event and you can choose one of four rewards: an airport lounge pass, a two-year KidsPass membership, four cinema vouchers, or a year of free car washes.

Devonshire Road gains a pizzeria next week. Doctor Dough opens at 19 Devonshire Road on Wednesday 5 August, serving New York-style pizza by the slice.
They are marking the opening by giving away 100 large slices to locals between 12pm and 3pm on Wednesday. First come, first served; when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Pre-orders open the same day, with collections starting Thursday 6 August. Worth a detour if you are on Devonshire Road at lunchtime on Wednesday.

🐾 Chiswick House Dog Show: registrations now open

It is still seven weeks away, but this is the one to act on now. The Dog Show returns for its 22nd year with 17 competition classes, from Waggiest Tail and Best Rescue to Golden Oldie, Naughtiest Dog and Dog Most Like Its Owner. This year's fancy dress theme is The Traitors, which should produce some sights.
Classes are £6 per dog and many sell out well before the day, so if you fancy your chances, book early. Spectators go free, and all proceeds go to Chiswick House & Gardens Trust.

🎬 Outdoor cinema at Gunnersbury Park

Picturehouse are running outdoor screenings in the Museum Gardens through August. Mamma Mia! on Friday 31 July at 7pm and Shaun of the Dead on Saturday 1 August at 6.30pm, then 10 Things I Hate About You on 7 August, Jurassic Park on 8 August and Grease on 9 August, all at 7pm.
Films start at dusk rather than the door time. Bring a blanket or a low chair. Every ticket includes £7 towards food and drink, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

🎭 An Evening of Opera's Greatest Hits at the George IV
Sunday 2 August, 7pm to 10pm · The George IV
Rogue Opera bring a run through opera's best known moments, from La Traviata and Carmen to Tosca and Don Giovanni. Familiar even if you have never been near an opera house, since half of it has turned up in films over the years.
Held in the Boston Room rather than the garden, so weather is not a concern. Seating is first come, first served, and the intervals are short, so eat before it starts if you are making a night of it.

First Sunday of the month, so the flower market is back this weekend with around 35 traders including plant nurseries and British flower growers.
Go early if you want the pick of the stalls, and given the forecast, go early anyway.

Tickets are now on sale for the festival’s 18th year, including a panel marking 60 years since The Beatles filmed at Chiswick House, and appearances from Nick Clegg, Kate Mosse, Mary Portas and Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

Six weeks of holiday activities for local young people, run in partnership with Hounslow HAF. Football, basketball, arts and crafts, games and off-site trips, split by age group. Sessions for 8-to-13-year-olds run daily from 12pm to 6pm, with evening sessions for 14-to-16-year-olds and 16-to-19-year-olds on Mondays and Wednesdays. Entry £1.50. Find out more.

🎨 Self-taught artist wins first Hogarth Prize
Dr Adam Perchard has taken the inaugural Hogarth Prize for his work Leviathan, beating more than 1,500 entries from across the UK. The £3,000 award is a new national prize run from Hogarth's House on Hogarth Lane, and he gets a solo show there next spring.
He is entirely self-taught, which makes it a lovely result. "I can't stop smiling," he said, calling the idea of his work hanging in Hogarth's own house "wild and humbling and wonderful".
The shortlist exhibition is up now, free to visit, and runs until Sunday 6 September. You can vote for your favourite too.

🌳 Green Flags for three parks on our doorstep
Gunnersbury Park, Acton Green Common and Southfields Recreation Ground have all won Green Flag awards from Keep Britain Tidy, which recognises the best-run green spaces in the country.
Gunnersbury is marking its centenary as a public park with 72 hectares of listed parkland, lakes and woodland. Acton Green has the sweeping path that was once a Roman road. Southfields is home to W4Youth.
All three are free, all three are minutes away, and the forecast could not be better for it.
